McLaren Honda First Team To Announce It's Launch Date

McLaren have become the first team to confirm a launch date for their 2016 car. The Honda-powered MP4-31 will be revealed on February 21, on the eve of this year’s opening pre-season test at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.
McLaren hope the new machine will revive their fortunes after a hugely disappointing 2015 campaign, in which the Woking team dropped to ninth in the standings as drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button scored just 27 points between them.
The MP4-31 is the second car of McLaren’s revived partnership with Honda, and despite the extensive teething problems experienced last year, they are expected to retain the ‘size-zero’ design concept for the car’s packaging.
The two pre-season tests of 2016 both take place in Barcelona, the first on February 22-25 and the second on March 1-4. The opening Grand Prix of the year is in Australia on March 20.

WhatsApp: No More Subscription Fees

Nearly a billion people around the world today rely on WhatsApp to stay in touch with their friends and family. From a new dad in Indonesia sharing photos with his family, to a student in Spain checking in with her friends back home, to a doctor in Brazil keeping in touch with her patients, people rely on WhatsApp to be fast, simple and reliable.
That's why we're happy to announce that WhatsApp will no longer charge subscription fees. For many years, we've asked some people to pay a fee for using WhatsApp after their first year. As we've grown, we've found that this approach hasn't worked well. Many WhatsApp users don't have a debit or credit card number and they worried they'd lose access to their friends and family after their first year. So over the next several weeks, we'll remove fees from the different versions of our app and WhatsApp will no longer charge you for our service.
Naturally, people might wonder how we plan to keep WhatsApp running without subscription fees and if today's announcement means we're introducing third-party ads. The answer is no. Starting this year, we will test tools that allow you to use WhatsApp to communicate with businesses and organizations that you want to hear from. That could mean communicating with your bank about whether a recent transaction was fraudulent, or with an airline about a delayed flight. We all get these messages elsewhere today – through text messages and phone calls – so we want to test new tools to make this easier to do on WhatsApp, while still giving you an experience without third-party ads and spam.

IOS 8.0 - 8.2 Jailbreak Your iPad Air 2, Air, 4, 3, 2, Mini Using TaiG (Windows)

Jailbreak your iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3,
iPad mini Retina, and iPad mini on iOS 8.0 - 8.1 using TaiG for Windows.

If you aren't already at iOS 8.1.1 we suggest upgrading to the latest firmware
using iTunes. You can find download links for iOS 8.1.1 here. We've also posted
instructions on how to update the firmware of your iOS device. Please note that
you must update using iTunes rather than Software Update. If you used Software
Update you should do a backup then restore to iOS 8.1.1 using iTunes.

Step One
Create an iClarified folder on your desktop and download the latest version of TaiG
into the folder. If your download is a zip file then extract the archive into the same folder.

Step Two
Tap Settings from your Springboard then select Touch ID & Passcode.
Turn Passcode Off if it is enabled.

Step Three
Choose iCloud from the Settings menu then select Find My iPad from the iCloud menu.
Ensure the Find My iPad switch is the Off position.

Step Four
Connect your iPad to the computer via a USB cable, launch iTunes, and perform a
manual backup. It is very important that you remember to backup your device before
continuing as you could lose your data if the jailbreak process does not complete
successfully.

Step Five
Double click the TaiGJBreak executable from the iClarified folder on your desktop to
launch the application.

Step Six
You will notice the device is detected by the software. Uncheck the bottom
checkbox to prevent the TaiG App Store from being installed then click the
large Green button to begin your jailbreak.

Step Seven
The TaiG app will now begin the jailbreak process.

Step Eight
Once the jailbreak has completed successfully, you will be shown a green smilie face,
your iPad will reboot and a Cydia app will appear on your Springboard. Congratulations,
you're now jailbroken!

Rumoured: Apple iPad Air Plus to feature next-gen A9 processor, launch by June 2015?

Apple iPad Air Plus rumoured to feature next-gen A9 processor, launch by June 2015: report

iPad Air 2 is seen during the launch. Reuters
A Japanese magazine dedicated to Apple fanboys, Mac Fan, has published details of the rumoured 12.2-inch iPad Air Plus including its internal hardware and expected launch date.
The magazine found a leaked blueprint of the 12.2-inch iPad, which says that the tablet will be 305.31 x 220.8 x 7mm in size and come powered by a next-generation A9 processor. It adds that the ‘iPad Air Plus’ is said to have four built in speakers on its edges to provide stereo sound. It also claims that the iPad Air Plus is scheduled to launch some time between April to June 2015.
AppleInsider has said that another Japanese publication, called Macotakara, has details which aligns with the information shared by Mac Fan. Macotakara says that the upcoming ‘iPad Pro’ or ‘iPad Plus’ will feature a 12.2-inch display with speakers and microphones on multiple edges.
According to AppleInsiderMacotakara also claims that the iPad Air Plus won’t be as thin as the 6.1mm iPad Air 2, but will be as slim as an iPhone, measuring somewhere between 6.9mm and 7.1mm.
While we don’t know how much to believe Mac Fan, AppleInsider claims that the publication has previously been pretty accurate about Apple-product information before them being unveiled.
The same report by Mac Fan also claims that the iPad mini 4 will be powered by Apple’s existing A8X processor and sport a new, thinner design. It also says that following the launch of the iPad mini 4, the iPad mini and iPad mini 3 will be discontinued.

CyanogenMod Will Stop Updating OnePlus One in India

Earlier this month Micromax, the biggest Indian smartphone maker, announced a partnership with Cyanogen, Inc., the company behind the popular CyanogenMod custom ROM for Android. Cyanogen's software was said to be powering a new, upcoming line of devices from Micromax, which are going to be sold under the Yu brand.
When the original announcement came, it was apparently lacking one very important detail: Cyanogen has effectively committed to offering Micromax exclusivity when it comes to future software update support for the Indian market.
This puts OnePlus in an awkward position. The Chinese startup is due to launch its One smartphone in India on December 2, which is next Tuesday. Due to Cyanogen's decision, those who buy a OnePlus One from India won't receive any software updates for it.

So OnePlus has decided to fast track its own ROM development efforts, which were initially only meant for its next handset. Thus, the company will release a beta version of a new ROM for the Indian market sometime in December, with a full release planned for February. This ROM will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and OnePlus promises it will be free of bloatware, and will keep Google's Material Design philosophy.
So, if you buy a OnePlus One from India, it will come running CyanogenMod 11S - just like the other handsets sold outside of China. But you won't receive any updates from Cyanogen. Then, in December you'll be able to flash the beta version of the new OnePlus ROM, and the final version in February. OnePlus has committed to two years of software support for the One from the time when the first build is released.
If you buy a OnePlus One and you're in a country that isn't India or China, you'll still get it running CyanogenMod 11S and you'll receive future updates from Cyanogen. In China, the phone is sold running Color OS, the Android overlay developed by Oppo.
What prompted Cyanogen to do this to OnePlus is still unclear, and it amounts to yet another hiccup in the very tumultuous life of this startup.
